More about me
I started freelancing (under the name Flair Ltd) in 2008 after 18 years working for some of the most well known Production companies in the UK, including Imagination Ltd, Acclaim & Sledge.
A lot of my work is done from my home office in Brockley, south-east London, but I also spend a lot of time in client's offices. I can be in central London in less than 30 minutes.
As a Senior Production Manager with Imagination I oversaw a broad range of projects including car launches, motor-shows, exhibitions, small and large conferences, AGMs, product launches and more. I production managed events in exhibition halls, conference rooms, BBC TV Studios, public parks, shopping centres, event spaces, fields, arenas and even Platform 1 at Kings Cross Station (for the launch of a Harry Potter DVD).
As Technical Director at Acclaim I continued this work, travelling extensively to the likes of Texas, Florida, Egypt and India. This latter experience included eight presentations in 4 days in Delhi and Mumbai for the Mayor of London's Partners in Globalisation campaign.
I was born in Stockton-on-Tees in 1970, and moved to London when I was 18 to study Stage Management, Technical Theatre and Design at Mountview Theatre School in Crouch End. After graduating, I spent several years working in theatre as a Stage Manager / carpenter - excellent grounding for the events industry.
My commercial career began when in 1992 I landed a nine month contract as a technician with Imagination working on the EC Pavilion at Expo '92, Seville, Spain.
